  1. Love the recognition Michael gives “Cabin in the Woods”; one of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen; L.L. – I’m on board with your shout-out to “John Carter”, one of 2012’s most underrated movies; however, I think it was largely Kitsch’s fault that it tanked. I like the kid, but the studios were nuts to give so many big roles to an untested box office newbie (see “Savages” & “Battleship”).

  2. What can I say? I thought Kitsch was great as Carter. I’m no fan of BATTLESHIP, but I don’t think it was his fault that sucked (it was a crappy concept). As any fan of the Friday Night Lights TV show can tell you, Kitsch has such potential to be a break-out actor. I thought he did a really good job in JOHN CARTER (and the reason why they went with a relative unknown was because the effects cost so much!) and I liked him a lot in SAVAGES too. The reason JOHN CARTER tanked was because Disney’s marketing campaign was friggin abyssmal. ~LL
