ABOUT CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT – THE COLUMN
SO WHAT EXACTLY IS CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT, ANYWAY?
CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT is a horror movie review column written by Michael Arruda and L.L. Soares. It began in 2005, and has had long runs on both the HELLNOTES newsletter (2004 to 2006) and the horror website FEAR ZONE (2007 to 2009). Equal parts Siskel & Ebert, EC Horror comics, and Spy vs. Spy, CKF is both informative (real movie reviews) as well as entertaining (with a strong injection of humor).
This site represents the latest incarnation of the column. Regular content will be added – a mix of new reviews and archival columns that have been previously published, with the intention of keeping CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT alive and well.
In May of 2010, Cinema Knife Fight was a finalist for the HWA‘s BRAM STOKER AWARD for Superior Achievement in Non-Fiction. So we’re now officially a STOKER-NOMINATED movie review column.
